This year’s event will be held at The Historic Defoor Center on Thursday, September 12, 2012 from 6 – 8:30pm and will be spotlighting FinTech as the “Where Georgia Leads” award category. Barry McCarthy, Group Head and General Manager, First Data Corporation, will be the Key Note speaker discussing his perspective on the latest opportunities and trends within the global payments processing industry.

Mr. McCarthy’s team supports over 4,200 financial institution customers, and those institutions’ 600 million credit/debit card consumers and 3 million card-accepting merchant locations. Mr. McCarthy is also responsible for the STAR debit network, and the company’s Government unit, which processes $2 trillion annually for the US Treasury (IRS) and other agencies.

The Southeastern Software Association (SSA) is one of the country’s premier networking and professional development organizations for high-tech and software professionals.
