Jim Montembeau

As the Managing Partner of AES, Jim Montembeau specializes in information technology, energy/smart grid, engineering, and related disciplines. His deep understanding in these areas provide him with the ability to extract pertinent, empirical client and candidate information regarding all facets of searches.

Mr. Montembeau’s credentials and passion for sharing his industry experience and knowledge provides him with a unique value-based approach regarding executive search. Through extensive consulting and networking, he is adept at identifying and attracting highly-preferred, senior-level candidates. His clients include those in industries relating to commercial application development, hardware infrastructure, energy, healthcare, real estate and manufacturing throughout the United States and Canada.

Mr. Montembeau’s professional experience spans 23 years in information technology. Originally a software engineer, he moved into network infrastructure management, then advanced into more strategic senior management leadership positions. Currently, he is on the Board of Directors for the Atlanta Community Toolbank, Board Chairman of the Black Bears of Georgia Alumni Association for the University of Maine, a member of the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) and the Georgia Association of Professional Services (GAPS).

Mr. Montembeau received a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at the University of Maine in 1988, with a minor in Business Administration. In 2006, he earned an MBA from the Terry School of Business at the University of Georgia, with an emphasis in domestic and international corporate leadership. That same year, he completed an international residency in Shanghai and Beijing, China.

Jim is a frequent guest speaker at the University of Georgia, Georgia Tech, Emory University, and other organizations on topics related to Executive Coaching, Corporate Strategy, and Emerging Trends.

An accomplished marathoner, Mr. Montembeau has qualified for the 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2010 Boston Marathons. He resides in Atlanta with his wife, Wendy and sons Joseph and Matthew.
